Brain function is generally perceived as neuronal centric, in fact, besides neurons, the involvement of codependent signaling among the other brain cell types like vasculature, astrocytes, microglia and neurons is major determinant of brain homeostasis, these brain cell types together constitutes neurovascular unit NVU. Investigating the principles of Neurovascular homeostasis in physiological and pathological conditions is the general goal of my research.
