Expertise

Developmental Biology

Immortal human primordial germ cells (hPGCs), the precursors to gametes, that establishes totipotency - the cellular state with maximum regenerative potential. In addition, I am also investigating the mechanisms for suppression of retrotransposons and aberrant genomic imprinting in an epigenetic ground state of hPGCs. I am also interested to delineate the consequences of environment factors on transgenerational epigenetic inheritance (TEI).
